This says so much about Sam’s terror during the entirety of Season 3. It’s easy to focus on Dean, dying for his little brother, trying to act all macho even though he’s so scared, but Sam is in just as much pain. He’s about to lose the person he’s worshipped as far as he can remember. I love the double meaning in his words: not only does Sam know Dean better than he knows anyone else, but there’s no one who knows as much about Dean as Sam does…if that makes sense.  For anyone who might think Sam doesn’t need Dean as much as Dean needs Sam? I give you this.
